Ingredients
  1. 2 fillets mackerel around 200 g each
  2. 1 tablespoon Ginger Garlic Paste - green chilli paste
  3. 1 tablespoon Ground Turmeric
  4. salt as per your taste
  5. 1 tablespoon Red chili powder
  6. 1 tablespoon Tandoori Masala Powder
  7. 1 Tablespoon Tamarind Pulp
Instructions
  1. 1. Soak a lemon sized Tamarind ball in 1 tablespoon warm water for 5 mins, than squeeze the tamarind to take the pulp.
  2. 2. Discard any tamarind seeds.
  3. 3. Now in a bowl, mix salt, turmeric powder, red chili powder, ginger - garlic -green chilli paste, tandoori masala, and tamarind pulp. Mix well.
  4. 4. With a knife make some slits on the skin side of the fillet.
  5. 5. Now stuff the masala nicely with your hands in the slits and on both sides of the fish fillet.
  6. 6. Put fish aside to marinate for 10 minutes.
  7. 7. Grill the fish on a grilling plate or a grilling rack in the oven. We prefer to cook under a grill.
  8. 8. Ideal to serve with some hot steaming rice.
Notes
  1. You can also add some Garam Masala to increase the spice level in this recipe if you like.
